Carson Trautman

Carson Trautman is a music producer, songwriter, and creative director best known for leading BYU’s premier a cappella groups, Vocal Point and Noteworthy. As Artistic Director, he guides students through high-level music creation—from arranging and vocal production to live performance—while fostering a positive, uplifting environment where young performers can grow. Carson blends professional pop production with a passion for helping students discover their confidence and creativity, creating memorable experiences for both singers and audiences. He also produces and writes for solo artists, helping them create music that inspires others to make the world a better place.

BYU vocal point

Vocal Point, Brigham Young University’s renowned all-male a cappella group, combines harmony, humor, and remarkable vocal percussion to deliver high energy, show-stopping performances year in and year out. Celebrated as one of the greatest college a cappella groups of all time, Vocal Point has an inventive style and innovative approach to music that has created quite a buzz since the group’s inception in 1991. BYU Noteworthy

Noteworthy, Brigham Young University’s all-female a cappella group, delivers breathtaking performances filled with energy and inspiration. Noteworthy has appeared on NBC’s hit television show, The Sing-Off, and was crowned the International Championship of Collegiate A Capella (ICCA) champion in 2007. For over two decades, this powerhouse group of vocalists has brought light to thousands of audience members in person and millions more online.
